Jean Bai is a San Francisco-based architectural photographer.

Influenced by her initial training as a photo and video journalist on her college newspaper, Jean believes that capturing environments with realism is what makes her images most meaningful and timeless.

In her photos, she is constantly drawn to different qualities of light and how they create an atmosphere and breathe life into a space. A formalist at heart, she is strongly influenced by bold compositions and strives to create images that are immaculate and balanced.

Jean graduated from UCLA with a background in both the sciences and the arts, and finds a perfect balance of the two in her photography. 

She was the first-place recipient of the 2020 American Photographic Artists Awards for architectural photography and has worked on Apple’s photo team capturing their U.S. retail stores since early 2022.
